AccessAccom SDA – Empowering Independence for NDIS Participants

AccessAccom SDA - Empowering Independence for NDIS Participants

TENANT STORY

My partner and I recently moved into one of AccessAccom’s Specialist Disability Accommodation units in Bankstown, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Aaron, who is a paraplegic in a wheelchair, finds the unit perfectly suited to his specific needs. The setup allows him to live as independently as possible while still having access to necessary support.

The positive impact of this move on our lives has been immense. The accessibility and support provided in our SDA Apartment have significantly enhanced Aaron’s ability to manage daily tasks independently. Knowing that Aaron is safe and well cared for, with full-time carers available 24/7, brings us great peace of mind.

The inclusive and friendly teams at AccessAccom, Afea & onsite building management has also contributed to our positive transition experience. They have been accommodating of people of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds but most importantly very accepting of Aaron’s disability.

The convenience of our apartment being well located and having easy access to essential shops, services and activities nearby, which are all fully accessible, is also a bonus that has truly enhanced Aaron’s quality of life and ability to live more independently.

Transitioning from a different company where daily activities were a struggle due to unsupportive staff, to a space designed specifically with accessibility in mind, has been a significant improvement.

Our modern apartment features adjustable kitchen countertops, accessible internal laundry and wide doorways to accommodate wheelchairs as well as other automation feature to assist our day-to-day life.

I highly recommend AccessAccom for individuals with disabilities who are exploring accessible housing options.
The thoughtful design and accessibility features make everyday tasks much more manageable and enjoyable and the supportive team ensures residents receive the necessary support while promoting independence.
