At AccessAccom, our mission goes far beyond providing accessible accommodation and high-quality Sydney based SDA housing, we are committed to building inclusive communities where tenants feel respected, heard and empowered.
One way we bring this to life is through our Tenant Advisory Group (TAG), a collaborative platform that ensures tenant voices shape how we operate and continuously improve our services.
What Is the Tenant Advisory Group (TAG)?
The Tenant Advisory Group is a forum made up of AccessAccom tenants from across our disability-friendly housing portfolio. Members meet regularly to:
- Share their lived experience
- Provide feedback on housing, maintenance and support
- Strengthen the tenant community
- Influence how we deliver SDA and accessible homes
TAG members act as representatives of the wider tenant community, working closely with our team to identify what’s working well and where improvements can be made.
This group is not just for discussion, it’s a partnership that drives real outcomes. Through TAG, tenants can directly influence policies, events and initiatives that shape everyday life across AccessAccom homes.
“I joined TAG to meet with other tenants and hear their experiences living within SDA. I love that tenants can provide feedback and all work together to find solutions.”
Justine, TAG Member
The Purpose of TAG
Tenant voices are essential to creating safe, supportive and empowering SDA housing. TAG provides a structured way for tenants to:
- Share feedback on maintenance, communication and support
- Raise ideas for improving the tenant experience
- Co-design community initiatives and events
- Influence policies so they reflect genuine tenant needs
By learning directly from tenants, we ensure our accessible accommodation continues to support independence, wellbeing and community connection.

A Reflection of Our Tenant-Focused Commitment
Being tenant-focused means more than delivering high-quality Specialist Disability Accommodation housing, it means engaging meaningfully with the people who call our properties home.
TAG is one of the strongest expressions of this commitment. It reflects our dedication to:
- Collaboration
- Transparency
- Co-design
- Continuous improvement
By listening to our tenants, we learn. By learning, we build better homes and stronger communities, together.
